Havana, Cuba -- A group of machederos pause for lunch. The worker is celebrated in Cuba, none more so than the machedero, who cut sugar cane. Beginning before dawn, these men will cut cane as far as they can see. The dangerous and back-breaking work has little reward other than the pride of a job well done.
