MILWAUKEE, WI -- 8/12/15 -- Tarell McGee, 33, speaks with a visitor about the death of close family friend, Breanna Eskridge. Eskridge, 17, was killed on McGee's porch as her twin sister stood next to her in what police say was a targeted shooting. Her boyfriend had been killed the week before. McGee still bears the scars after being shot 7 times in 2013 in a dispute over a pitbull. Milwaukee leads the nation in most negative indicators of African-American social problems: educational achievement gaps, incarceration rates, unemployment and segregation.
