Mustock

LIGNUM, VA -- 7/24/16 -- Archie Newman, aka "Doc" or "Witchdoctor", pauses for a photograph inside his tent. Doc has been coming to Mustock for 9 years. He's very serious, trailering his bike and full bedroom set to set up his campsite. Many longtime Mustock attendees have improved the camping experience to a "glamping" experience. Glamping is basically glamorous camping, which is really about having as many creature comforts as possible in your tent.Mustock is a private music festival hosted by DC based musician, Mustafa Akbar. Now in it's 17th year, the event started as a fish-fry with Mustafa's mother when she was still living. Originally open to family and close friends, the event has grown steadily, and drew roughly 300 people over the weekend.…by André Chung #_AC23486
