WASHINGTON, DC -- 9/23/20 -- Sonia L. Aranza, 59, of Washington DC:”I feel indebted to this giant, who without an audience, without precedence and without any support just boldly stepped forward to do things that were unimaginable. Like allowing women like myself to purchase a home without the permission of a man, allowing the marriage of two people no matter who they love, defending the right of a human being to govern her own body, because there is no law that governs the body of a man. Why should there be a law that governs the body of a woman? It is my body.”

With the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on September 18, the court has lost its leading progressive voice.
