PORT-AU-PRINCE, -- 1/20/10 -- Desperate Haitians scavenge stores seeking food, personal items and anything of value, after a 6.1 aftershock shifted rubble. Police allowed it as long as there were no weapons or violence.....General Hospital in Port-Au-Prince has roughly 1500 patients, but the number fluctuates up as high as 1800 as more patients are admitted, treated and released. A mostly volunteer staff of 35 - 40 treat the patients. There have been 150 amputations so far....A magnitude 7.0 earthquake rips through Port-Au-Prince, killing over 100,000 and destroying most buildings....
