CATONSVILLE, MD -- 9/16/08 -- OBLATE SISTERS -- Sr. Elsa Maria Lopez-Aguero irons the handkerchiefs that are used by the priests during mass. They must be done precisely, and every handkerchief is folded exactly the same from the Vatican to Baltimore. Sr. Elsa Maria was part of the mission that was evacuated from Cuba in 1961 shortly after Castro took over. She had to remain inside the convent for a year prior to their departure, because she had been threatened with death by some soldiers....
